Delivering Exceptional Oral Healthcare for over 30 Years

Lake Superior Dental Hygiene

Welcome! For over three decades, I have been a dedicated provider of dental hygiene services here in Sault Ste. Marie. In the fall of 2007, the landscape of my profession went through a transformative shift when legislation changed to empower Registered Dental Hygienists to establish and operate independent clinics.   In addition, this shift provides you with direct and easier access, to dental hygiene services without having to see a dentist. It also encourages competitive pricing for dental cleanings.

In 2012, I branched out on my own, opening Lake Superior Dental Hygiene, located at 370
Lake Street. Drawing on over 30 years’ experience in the dental hygiene field, I feel confident
when I clean, educate, and empower clients, with respect to their oral health.

What To Expect

Our process begins with a detailed medical history, your dental history,
and any concerns and/or preferences you may have regarding your oral health.
We will inquire how you prefer to be contacted; either through the telephone,
emails, and/or texting; which can be set up once you arrive for your
appointment.
Our clinic meticulously adheres to the IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control)
protocols and sterilization procedures. This refers to evidence-based practices
and procedures that, when applied consistently in health care settings can
prevent or reduce the risk of the transmission of microorganisms to health care
providers, clients and patients. We also prioritize our scheduling, thus minimize
client/patient interaction, resulting in reducing the risk of exposure, to public
viruses, in our ever-changing world.

Services

Clean any plaque, tartar/calculus and/or debris along the gum line, resulting in the gum naturally reattaching back to the root surface, supporting the tooth structure once again.

This is the process of using carbamide peroxide and/or hydrogen peroxide to remove stains, or other discolouration, from the tooth surface; giving the teeth a whiter look.

Mouth guards are fabricated in the clinic. Come in for a dental impression, and your newly fabricated mouth guard can be ready for you the next day.

We all know the benefits of “finding a problem early”; we routinely perform this screening on all our clients. It is an easy assessment, taking no longer than 4 minutes. There is also “No charge” for this service, and can be requested at any time.

PAYMENTS

We follow the Ontario Dental Hygiene fee guide, which my College governs and updates yearly.  We are happy to take the following payment options: Interac, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.  We also provide direct billing services to your insurance company.
